"Orange Solitary Coral," Reef Coral Identification, Paul Humann and Ned Deloach. Colonial: corallites may be clustered in small groups or appear to be solitary. Solitary examples are joined to nearby corallites by encrusting bases that may be hidden from view by overgrowing organisms. Corallites aare slightly tapering and cyclindrical with flared rims (calice).
