Reef Fish Identification, Paul Humann and Ned Deloach. Tobaccofish. Alternating series of dark and white to yellow or salmon blotches along back. Belly white. Common to occasional South Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean; also Bermuda and south to Brazil. Inhabits adjacent areas of sand and coral rubble. Tends to stay near the bottom.
