\"Sea Peach,\" Field Book of Seashore Life, Roy Waldo Miner. The body of this handsome species is ovate or barrel shaped and attached by one end. The apertures are mounted on large papillae. The body surface is generally even, but rough to the touch, like sandpaper. The size, shape and color, which is yellow or orange, more or less tinged with pink or red, suggest the popular name, sea-peach. Distribution is chiefly along the coast of Maine and northward.
